The luxury bathroom and beautifully designed and modern room. Amazing and fantastic location in Hay-On-Wye near to Hereford, local attractions and food places and a beautiful garden too. Also, in the centre.

Lovely Hay-On-Wye getaway 🌄

The brekkie here was like a feast-those eggs were a proper hit, fresh from the hens! Had a great chat with Chris and Christine, reminded me of we were chilling with old mates. The outside deck was our kuier spot, perfect for sunset views while sipping tea!

Only thing was the room was a bit hot at night, could use better cooling.

Spotlessly clean hotel, lovely personnel, wonderful and marvellous breakfast. Breakfast with home-cooked food and farm fresh eggs, as for instance. An electric kettle, central heating and TV in the room and the very comfy bed.

The lovely garden and fine views. The seating area in the garden was a perfect spot to unwind.

Staying in "The Paddock View" Double Room was a delight. The spacious room featured a lovely balcony overlooking the serene fields, made mornings magical. Breakfast choices were amazing-each day started with fresh berries and a dessert-of-the-day. The Smithy's own free-range eggs had a noticeable freshness. The hosts, Chris and Christine, offered a warm welcome and personal touches. A small kitchenette was handy for making snacks. The room got a bit warm at night was good. An earlier check-in option would also have enhanced the experience.

The kids loved watching the birds outside while I relaxed in a lovely bath. Breakfast was freshly prepared and definitely hit the spot, providing just what our family needed after a busy day exploring the local area.

My wife says that having more kid-friendly dining options would enhance the experience.

The Smithy Bed & Breakfast is a real treasure! Staying in The Paddock View, I enjoyed the spacious room with a good balcony that overlooked the serene fields. The hosts were accommodating and provided a breakfast spread that was both varied and delicious, although an earlier check-in would have been ideal.

Cozy stay with fine views

The super king-size bed was super comfy, and the shower was heavenly. Breakfast options were a highlight, I loved the boiled eggs with soldiers! Only thing is, it could get a bit noisy sometimes, but those views made up for it. Outdoor dining area was a nice touch too!

Staying in the large annex room was a delight, with a contemporary bathroom and comfortable furnishings that created a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast menu was great, offering an excellent variety, including fresh eggs from the resident hens. The room temperature was slightly uncomfortable at night, and it could benefit from better sound insulation, as some noise was noticeable from outside. Nonetheless, the amazing views and cute ambiance were good.

So accommodating and cute, such a fine balcony view.

The view from my balcony was fine, but the foul smell was hard to ignore.

Man, this place is sooo cozy! The view from the paddock view room was just outta this world, and breakfast was an absolute feast with their fresh eggs. Chris and christine, super friendly and always down to chat. We even enjoyed watching the sunrise from the balcony, which just added to the whole experience. Can't recommend it enough!
